1 cup dried beans (pinto, cranberry, whatever you like)
Rinse dried beans and drain.
Place in crock pot.
Add 3 cups water
Add: 1 teas baking soda (to dissolve the gas from beans)
1 tablespoon “Grill Creations” Mustard Pepper Seasoning
(if you don’t have this you can substitute with dry mustard and black pepper with a dash of garlic powder)
1 teaspoon chopped, pickled jalapeno peppers
(I can my own but are also sold in gro.)
Cover and turn on low for approx 10-12 hrs (all day)
No grease, no meat, no having to soak beans overnight first, no gas…
it’s just too easy!
This is a basic recipe. you can play with the ingredients to suit your taste.
Serve with hot cornbread and homegrown tomatoes!
