Although we thought you were rushing it
When you proposed to our Becky,
Just a few months of courtship
We worried if you were really ready.
Even when she ran over your foot
Your decision never wavered.
Driving that tractor the best she could,
Still our Becky was who you favored.
First came Crystal, then came Josh,
Two wonderful kids enlarged our family.
As we look at your household, Gosh!
We just tear up with glee-
Because of you Mitch,
We’ve seen how true ties bind.
Providing your wife and kids
The greatest support of any kind.
Showing them by living your life
According to God’s plan,
Surviving any bit of strive
By being a God fearing man.
We want to take this moment in time,
To just say thank you
For loving our Becky and your kids
With a love that is deep and true.
As we see the years go by
In this family we all agree
We are oh, so glad
You’re a branch in our family tree.
