Let the journey begin.
The wedding "Planning Season" is one of High Intensity. There's much to do with Emotions running Extreme by Everyone. So much Excitement fills the air.
Important Tip: Remember, when it's all said and done you want the Wedding memories to be Happy Ones. Let the little issues slide, Remember to give a little slack to all those on this journey with you. This sometimes means to suck it up and shut up. Keep the focus on this being the day the Bridal couple has always dreamed of.

Brad purposed to Tabitha on Christmas Night at my parent's home. All the Christmas celebrations had settled down and we were still visiting at my parents' home. We were all still excited with Tabi & Brad's gift to us; after living 600 miles away in Valdosta, GA for 17 months they annouced earlier that day that they had moved to Murfreesboro, TN (a mere 150 miles from home) and enrolled at MTSU to complete their college degrees.
It was cold but Brad asked Tabi to step outside in the darkness with him for a moment of peaceful togetherness. They walked down to the little log cabin that Tabi's Uncle, Gradfather, & Great-Grandfather had built. There on the front porch , down on one knee, Brad purposed to Tabitha.

There were two possible wedding sites. My brother's house or her dad's house. They decided on Tabi's dad's newly built house. The large front porch with collumns decorated with grapevines lent a hint of "gone with the wind", one of Tabi's favorite movies. The soft, easy pond in their front lawn provided a romantic backdrop for the ceremony. For months we dreamed, worked and prepared for October 18th.

Choosing the Reception site was an easy choice. The Moffat Centre' was new and recently opened. It was only a couple of miles from the Wedding site.

The Planning began immediately. Wedding magazines were purchased ASAP and the Journey was off to a great start. 15 month old Ryleigh joined in on the planning.
Tip: I did learn one valuable lesson. There is no Mother & Daughter who will have the same ideas of what the upcoming wedding should entail. When push comes to shove remember it is the Bride's Day, (not the mother of the Bride's day) therefore I suggest all Mothers of the Bride (and others assisting in the planning) repeat after me: "Whatever the Bride wants" (expense issues excluded of course).
